COVID-19 Precautions and Safety Measures:
Keeping our clients and staff safe is our number 1 priority at Luna Beauty and Wellness.
We are diligent in our responsibility to cleanliness and adhering to CDC guidelines as well as those put in place by our local state & county and licensing bodies such as the California Massage Therapy Council and The Department of Barber and Cosmetology.
Time between appointments has been increased to 30minutes to allow for proper disinfection of the treatment room, common areas of the studio and high touch points. This adjustment also eliminates gathering in the reception area.
As always, hospital grade disinfectants are used on all surfaces and implements in between clients.
Tester products have been removed to minimize the risk of cross contamination.
Luna Beauty and Wellness has switched to digital intake forms to minimize touch points in the studio and overall convenience.
COVID-19 Studio Guidelines
Wearing a mask and completing a digital questionnaire prior to entry is mandatory.
At this time masks are required for the entirety of most services that do not allow for social distancing. Certain facial services will be the only exception. Because a safer distance can be maintained during teeth whitening and spray tanning those services may be performed without a mask.
Please complete all necessary forms.

Your hair should be about the length of long grain rice or a sprinkle to have a successful wax treatment. This means your wax should be booked about 2 weeks after shaving or about 4 weeks after waxing. If your hair has been recently shaved and is not near the appropriate length you will be responsible for 100% of the service cost whether or not the majority of the hair was removed.
Please avoid the use of chemical exfoliants in the area you plan to be waxed 72 hours prior to your appointment.
If you are using Retin-a, Renova, Accutane (oral form of Retin-a) or any other acne treating or skin-thinning medication prescribed by a dermatologist either topically or ingested you will not be able to be waxed due to the exfoliating nature of the medication. If you have any questions feel free to contact Luna Beauty and Wellness for clarity before your appointment.
Using an SPF of 30 or higher is necessary on the area post wax if it is exposed to sunlight.
Why does a Man-zilian cost more than a brazilian?
Hair removal on male genitalia uses more product, takes more time and requires a special training and skill set to perform this service correctly and safely.
Is getting a wax while on my cycle ok?
Yes! Women get waxed on their cycle very often. It is just important to put in a new tampon, or use a cup.
Please note: due to water retention and personal comfort you may want to avoid hair removal 2 days before your cycle is due and 2 days after it is completed.
Skin Brightening is safe and gentle enough to be performed on any area of the body.
Clients usually see results of 1-3 shades lighter after their first professional treatment. Please note: it may take several treatments to reach your desired shade. A professional treatment 1-2x per week is recommended until desired results are achieved. Then at-home products or a professional treatment every month or so are good for maintenance.
This formula is designed to safely lighten the dark areas of your skin to achieve a more even tone. It will not cause hypopigmentation ( where the skin becomes lighter than the natural, baseline skin color.)
Skin Brightening is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women. Results will not last due to heightened hormones, it is best to wait until after pregnancy or breastfeeding to start treatment.
An open follicle will allow for better product absorption, leading to better results. For this reason a wax of the area to be brightened is included in the treatment on most areas of the body as long as there are no contraindications to do so.
Most spray tans last about 7-10 days with proper aftercare.
